As a designer, I am motivated to create work that will stand the test of time, both materially and stylistically. BREAKWATER is my collection of tiles that is both original and timeless. Every time I look up at the sky or out to the ocean here in Venice, California I am enthralled by the light and natural beauty that surrounds us. When asked to design a collection for Jeffrey Court I decided to celebrate this perpetual inspiration. The project allowed me to embrace several of my greatest passions: tile-making tradition, environmental product awareness, and the texture of Belgian linen, which is the bed rock of my textile collection – LOOM.
I am delighted to share the exquisite work that has come from this collaboration with Jeffrey Court and the ceramic tile tradition that they continue.
